Clearing Your Browser Cache

1 min read

After changing website files or fixing an error, you may need to refresh your browser cache to see the latest version of a page instead of the old one.

Sometimes reloading the page is enough, without clearing the entire cache. Press Ctrl+F5 (in Safari, use Command+R).

If that does not help, clear the cache in your browser settings.

Yandex Browser

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Select ‘Cached files’ → ‘Clear’.

Opera

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Select ‘Cached images and files’ → ‘Clear data’.

Google Chrome

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Select ‘Cached images and files’ → ‘Clear data’.

Mozilla Firefox

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Select ‘Cache’ → ‘OK’ or ‘Clear Now’.

Safari

Press Option+Command+E (⌥⌘e).

Internet Explorer

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Select ‘Temporary Internet files and website files’ → ‘Delete’.

Microsoft Edge

Press Ctrl + Shift + Del.
Select ‘Cached images and files’ → ‘Clear’.
